So, I’m back at work. Hooray. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you it is near impossible to sit here with the back/hip pain. Maybe the whole 10 days off idea was a bad one. I miss my couch. I am back at the doctor one week from today though, to further assess the sciatica and whatnot, and I’m hoping I can be done.
That being said, I am banking on this week being my last at work and am tying up a lot of loose ends. Schedules and reports and making sure my responsibilities will be cared for properly in my absence. It’s going to be a real pain, but I think better than being pulled unexpectedly. I’m just going to work every day as if it’s my last, and keep my fingers crossed that the end is near.
I actually do miss work when I’m off though; there is so much camaraderie and plain old fun. Plus I have time to catch up with you Internets daily. It doesn’t happen at home, unless Hub is out of the house. He’s pretty sure that all of you are housebound middle aged male pedophiles. I don’t hide the blogging from him, but it’s better to do it when I’m alone.
We took our monthly trip to BJ’s yesterday and both had a minor panic attack when we realized that on our next trip we needed to buy diapers—OH THE HORROR!! They have boppy’s with cover there for $16.99 though, which I find to be a steal! I also finally made my list of the things we need to buy before she comes so we can whittle that down weekly. Who’d have thought the 3rd baby would be so expensive!
I also realized that in about 10 weeks, after Lucy’s birthday, I will have a 4-year-old, a 3-year-old and a newborn. Holy Hell, my friends.
As I am sitting in my office surrounded by anti-sexual violence PSAs, I can assure your hubby that I am NOT a housebound male pedophile. But it is a big scary world out there. I can understand his caution.Oh, I will miss you so much when you are on leave! If you go on leave soon…how will we know when Olivia gets here?
Misty- I have internet access through my phone and have set my blog up to accept email posts. I will likely post from the hospital that she is here. Maybe I’ll be surprised and have lots of computer time from home. We shall see. 🙂
I never blog or read blogs at home either. I get ENOUGH computer time at work. And then some.Last week! WHOA! Exciting. Except for buying the diapers, that’s a beating. On the plus side, they are those tiny CUTE diapers, though.
Glad you survived vacation. Sometimes it’s nice to get back into a routine. Now of course if you’re done this week then routine schmoutine~you’re going to have another baby! woohoo!
I hardly ever blog from home either. Jason never gets a chance to go on the Internet at his work, so he does it at home. It’s a good balance.Only 10 more days! YAY!!!
OMG, 4 year old, 3 year old and newborn just gave me shivers. May the Force be with you!!
Hooray for the last week at work!!!
It’s funny how many bloggers’ significant others are scared of their readers. I guess you have to be part of the world to get it.
Jess- I agree. I’ve been doing it in some form or another since 2000, so it’s no big deal to me.
I am housebound all right, but not exactly male or pedophilic in nature! Hah.Sorry about the hip/back pain, truly. I had it with both kids (though not to such an extent as you) from about ten weeks on. It is torturous, I know.
Oooh, yikes, I’m sorry you have to sit through such pain. Is it not kind of cool that you are wrapping things up at work, though? I loved doing that in my pregnancy. It made me SO happy, like something was actually going to happen soon!
