It's been an uneventful few days. Olivia sleeps 4-5 hours at a time
during the night but I am still exhausted. Lucy is a huge bag of
emotions, happy one minute, then sad& then a ball of fire the next.
Bud loves being a big brother to this tiny baby and showers her with
constant kisses & hugs. Hub has been sick since Sunday with a fever
and aches. I took the baby for a walk yesterday-more exercise than
I've had in months& today we are going to do some visiting. This
concludes my mobile post.
4-5 hours is really good for a newborn, but it still doesn’t compare to what you were getting before. I can understand why you’re feeling exhausted.
It sounds like things are going well, relatively speaking!
You are a rock star!!! Seriously. I remember how all encompassing the tiredness is at first. Like it soaks through each and every pore until you’re weighed down by it.
Three kids. You are doing it! Such a trooper. I am so proud of you.Lucy will get better. It is just one of those things: adjustment. After all, this is the first baby she has ever had.
Oh I remember the tiredness and the kids’ emotions. It does get better, I promise. 🙂
What IS it with men getting sick shortly after their wives give birth? So far for me, it’s been EVERY TIME! It’s like it’s a competition for who feels crappier!
I’m glad the baby is sleeping pretty well. But you still have three (3!) kids to take care of now. Wow, no wonder you’re exhausted.
